Support

We’re building this from the ground up, and support from the community is what makes it possible.High Plains Skate Foundation is currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) status. We have filed our paperwork with both the IRS and State of Texas.

That approval is pending, but we’re already organizing, planning projects, and getting to work at the parks. We do not anticipate any issues or rejections with our application (while possible, chances are low), and all contributions made in the interim are retroactively deductible following approval. We will notify all donors and members of our approval status immediately.

Right now, support goes directly toward things like park cleanups, materials, events, and improvements at Frankford and beyond. As we grow, that support will help move us toward larger projects, including new skateparks in Lubbock.

If you want to be part of this, there are a few ways to help:

Materials & Supplies
We’re doing a lot of this work ourselves, and donated materials go a long way. If you have access to any of the items below or can help source them, please reach out to us:

- Paint, stain, and sealants suitable for skate use, both for concrete and metal

- Graffiti removal supplies

- Bondo/quickrete/crack repair

- Tools (grinders, drills, pressure washers, etc.)

- Safety gear (gloves, masks, eye protection)

- Trash bags and general cleanup supplies

- Water and snacks for event days

- Wood, cinder blocks, steel pipe, etc to build "rapid prototypes" of new obstacles at Frank such as manual pads, ledges, rails, and quarter pipes.

We’re also open to other materials or equipment that could help with park improvements, maintenance, or events.

Product

We plan to host ongoing events for the skate community, and one of the staples of a good skate jam or contest is product giveaways.

This includes not only skateboarding goods like decks, trucks, and wheels, but also apparel, swag, gift cards, and even coupons for local businesses are always appreciated.

Local businesses, contractors, and suppliers are especially encouraged to reach out. Even small contributions can make a real impact.

We’ll continue to be transparent about how funds and materials are used as we grow. This is something we’re building together, and every bit of support helps move it forward.
